As VP Business, Romain leads the business development growth of Exothera by establishing partnerships with leading cell and gene therapy companies, and is bridging commercial efforts with the operational project execution. He is part of the executive team overlooking the overall strategy of the company.

Romain started his career in the cell therapy industry by joining Masthercell (cell therapy CDMO) where he gradually evolved to the US&EU Business and Marketing Director. He successfully led cross-functional teams, and established various strategic partnerships and pipeline of projects, resulting in substantial and incremental growth of the company through his tenure. He was instrumental in bringing the company public, and his dedication to customers and focus on execution helped Masthercell become the worldwide leading CDMO for Immuno oncology cell therapy product. The company was sold to Catalent for $315 million in 2020.  

Romain holds an engineering degree in Biotech Engineering from ESIL Engineering School (Marseille, France) as well as a Master degree of business from Kedge Business School (Marseille, France). He lives in Belgium.
